Its Only 2 weeks before American pop sensation Janet Jackson turns 50 and the star has shocked many of her fans with the news that she is expecting her first child.

A month ago Janet shocked her fans with the announced that she would be taking a break from her Unstoppable world tour to focus on building a family with her husband Wissam Al Mana. The news raised speculation that the star may be pregnant with her first child and the rumours were confirmed by both ET Entertainment and E! News on Wednesday. According to E! News sources‚ Janet is in her second trimester of pregnancy.

Despite it being quite uncommon for woman near the age of 50 to fall pregnant‚ a source told E! Entertainment that Janet and her husband have been working with a fertility specialist for some time in hope of starting a family.

The couple has however refused to comment on the latest reports.

Late Wednesday, Jackson tweeted her music video and said, "It's all about Love... #DammnBaby."
