BREAKING: 5 Police Officers Killed in Fresh Mandera Bus Attack
KENYA: Kenyans are mourning the death of five police officers who were killed yesterday escorting a passenger bus from Mandera. The bus was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade at Dimu area, Mandera County.
The reports also suggest that after the incident, the fighters then burnt the bodies of the officers and the government vehicle they were traveling in.
Mandera county Governor Ali Roba confirmed the reports, and at the same time decried the seemingly slow response, by security officers, to earlier reports that the militants had been spotted in the area.
“We condemn the attack by Alshabab at Dimu this morning 5 police officers killed The info about their presence was long shared by the locals,” Roba tweeted.
