A man in Malawi is in custody after the authorities caught him stoning Mutharika's billboard.
Chikondi Saidi aged 26 was seen with a pile of stones at Lunzu, Blantyre stoning the Presidents image which led to the public notifying the law enforcers of his acts.

The billboard is said to contain messages about Decent and Affordable Housing Subsidy Programme which is being championed by the Democratic Progress Party (DPP) led government.

Police fear that the acts by Saidi who hails from Mazale village in Traditional Authority Kapeni in Blantyre culd have stirred violence.
