BREAKING: Former First Lady Mama Lucy Kibaki dies while undergoing treatment at a London Hospital

KENYA: It's sad news for Kenya as her former first Lady Mama Lucy Kibaki passed away while undergoing treatment at a London Hospital on Tuesday 26th 2016.

According to statement made by HE: President Uhuru Kenyatta Mama Lucy Kibaki passed away at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.

"Her Excellency will be remembered for her immense contribution in the development of our country. Especially notable was Her Excellency’s virtues of leadership and commitment to improving the wellbeing of the ordinary Kenyans, in particular her focus on tackling HIV/AIDS, which will remain an inspiration to many,” the statement read in part.

The Funeral arrangements will be communicated later.

Uhuru Kenyatta said that Mama Lucy Kibaki shall be remembered for her contribution in the development of the country which She was committed in improving the well being of the ordinary Kenyans, in particular her focus on tackling HIV/AIDs, he said.
