Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg lands in Nairobi Kenya
After paying Nigeria a business trip visit, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckergerg has landed in Nairobi kenya today, September 1.
He is in Kenya to meet with entrepreneurs and developers and to learn about mobile money where Kenya leads the world in the sector with its mobile money transfer platform - MPESA.
Zuckerberg started with a visit at the iHub where entrepreneurs can build and prototype their ideas.
According to the Facebook CEO Facebook account, he met two engineers, Fausto and Mark who have designed designed a system to help people use mobile payments to buy small amounts of cooking gas, which is a lot safer and better for the environment than charcoal or kerosene.
"It's inspiring to see how engineers here are using mobile money to build businesses and help their community." added Mark Zuckerberg.
In Nairobi, Mark Zuckerberg chose to dine at the popular Mama Oliech's restaurant in
Hurlingham.
