BREAKING NEWS: 6-Storey Building Collapses in Huruma area of Nairobi

NAIROBI: A 7-storey building in Huruma area of Nairobi has collapsed. The buildingg collapsed a few minutes past 9pm Friday night.

As at 1am Saturday morning 3 bodies had been retrieved, 58 rescued and 29 rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital.

Red Cross and NYS teams managed to rescue a baby while an unknown number of people are still believed to have been trapped inside. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

In other news a seven storey building also collapsed in Mathare, number of casualties still unknown.

Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero is to issue a statement regarding the Huruma and Mathare buildings.
