Worrying Catastrophe Set to Strike Africa.
After the El Nino weather cycle it is likely to increase the threat of hunger and disease for millions of people in 2016...this is according to a new report from aid agencies.
Some of the worst impacts cases are likely to be felt in Africa with food shortages expected to peak in February 2016.
However the catastrophe will not only affect Africa, regions such as the Caribbean, Central and South America will also be hit in the next six months. So far around 31 million people are said to be facing food insecurity across Africa,that alone being a significant increase over the last year.
El Nino which means as Little Boy, or Christ Child happens every two to seven years, usually peaks late in the calendar year, although the effects can persist well into the following spring and last up to 12 months.
