Malawian Prophet Shepherd Bushiri Flaunts on Facebook With His Newly-acquired Private Jet Estimated To Cost $3.7 Million.

Malawian Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) who has earned himself a reputation as a man of God with succinct prophecies yet has attracted controversies to himself ranging from sex scandals to lies has been caught in another storm once again. The Prophet has taken to his Facebook page to flaunt his newly-acquired jet estimated to cost $3.7 million.

In the Jan. 6 ceremony celebrating his purchase of a Gulf Stream III, Prophet Bushiri claimed, “I am what God says I am. I was born a winner. This goes to people who understand my vision. This is not for me but to those who believe in better things,” Bushiri, better known among his followers as “Major 1” or “Papa,” is believed to be one of the wealthiest pastors in Africa and one the richest men in Malawi, where he was born and raised. He founded the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG), according to the church’s website, its aim is to “Bring awareness about God’s existence and voice in this day and age.”

Critics say that Prophet Bushiri lures his followers with promises of money and success, but if only they believe. Malawi is so far one of the poorest countries in Africa and the world, having over half of the population living under the poverty line.

In response to Bushiri’s Facebook post, one user named N'Tity Mo'thai Serokane wrote, "When will Prophet Shepherd Bushiri take a picture of himself delivering food parcels to needy children or feed the hungry , or visit prisons take pictures with inmates ? I mean if man like you can afford to travel in private jets imagine how much you can do for your countrymen , you could make a far much greater example to humanity or mybe your blessings are not to be shared amongs the greedy ? Or for somewhat reasons prophecy comes with a pride tag not to even visit HIV infected wards? As a black man and as influecial as you are id believe cursing blessings to individuals is a drop in an ocean for u with all due respect Prophet Shepherd Bushiri Ministries preaching prosperity amongs individual has degraded us far much as a continent , what about the ones below the pverty line, who cant afford to fill up stadium's? So your blessings wont even go passed them ? Or it is for God to decide? Your response will be highly appreciated , P.s im still not convinced"
