KENYA: Last month the Kenyan Social Media platforms were flooded with news that Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari were headed for a divorce.

It was a story that gathered hate, backlash from doubting Thomases . Words like ‘tabloid’ were used to refer to the tale hitherto written speaking of the celebrity marriage that had disintegrated six months after grand wedding

We waited and waited.. Then suddenly last week, during a live news bulletin, Betty Kyallo dropped her husbands name from her names. Her new byline read ‘Betty Kyallo’ From Betty Okari . The writing was on the wall. There seemed to be an ounce of truth in the previously trashed tall tale.

Her sister, best friend, Mercy Kyallo, has today on social media shared a message to her sister Betty Kyallo.

The message read in part; "Over the last couple of months my sister Betty has gone through her share of struggle, tears and sadness. A lot is being said and there is a lot of speculation. Fact is that there were deep family issues that divided us. Betty, our family is supporting you 100% and our prayer is that you find true happiness and fulfilment.
Isn't this is life as we know it? just when you think you've got the map, you meet a stop sign which redirects, reorganises and challenges you afresh. It's upto you to keep strong and recharge! We love and care for you honey so do and be the best you can be."

Betty Kyallo the responded with this caption of her repost; "Thank you for your love and support @mercykyallo thats what sisters and family are for. ❤️It is well with me. The couple’s separation was orchestrated by what was termed as irreconcilable differences.

Our sources revealed to us that Betty Kyallo has taken a short leave from work and it is not known when she will be returning to work.
