Uganda: Violence Erupts In Kampala After Besigye Arrest.
Following his arrest, detention and subsequent release, Kizza Besigye, embarked on a second procession to Kampala city. Violence had erupted in Kampala Uganda after one of the FDC Presidential aspirant, Kizza Besigye was arrested.
Police at Wandegeya joined by military started throwing teargas canisters at Besigye’s supporters. But the supporters retaliated by throw stones at the police. This is not the first time that the FDC aspirant has been arrested.
Bisigye was arrested along Jinja road in Kampala Uganda.
Police in Kampala had blocked Dr Kizza Besigye from accessing the Central Business District using Kampala Road.
The police spokesperson claimed that Besigye refused police advice against using the route through the Central Business District.
