28 Students affected by Smoke in a Dorm Fire in MERU SCHOOL last Night

KENYA: One dormitory was set ablaze yesterday night at Meru School in Meru county.

This is the second such incidence to have occurred in the institution in 2 weeks.

The institutions management has had a hard time trying not to let parents from accessing the school after the incident last night.

The cause of the fire at Meru School has not been determined. However, the Kenya Red cross contained the fire and the students are safe and sound.

After the first fire incidence at Meru School, the students were set to report as follows..
1. Form 4 is on Monday 6th June 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

2. Form 1 on Tuesday 7th June 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

3. Form 2 on Wednesday 8th June 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

4. Form 3 on Thursday 9th June 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

Conditions for re-admission:-

1. All students to be accompanied by the parents. NO admission without the parents/Guardians.

2. No students will be re-admitted without fully clearing the outstanding school fees.

3. No student will be re-admitted after 12:00 noon.

4. The affected members of Njurincheke will be provided by the school with the following items:-

(i) A box

(ii) 2 blankets

(iii) A mattress
