Matatu strike ongoing at Huruma/Dandora/Kariobangi roundabout after a matatu was burnt on Monday during the CORD anti IEBC demos

KENYA: Juja road has been rendered impassable as it is blocked near the air base by protestors.

Majority of matatus that ply Juja rd route are parked and commenters are now stranded.

This comes two days after a matatu was burnt on Monday during the CORD anti IEBC demos.

On Monday, CORD protesters took the ugly twist after the PSV vehicle tried to force its way through the barricades upon which the protesters pounced on the driver, looted passengers and eventually burnt the matatu.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Blue House Hospital in Mathare.
