The company seeks to recruit 15 sales agents in every county, meaning that in 47 counties, the company will have 705 agents.

Each job applicant is required to pay application fee of Ksh 1,000 which is non-refundable.

"Royal Media must stop advertising non-existent jobs then charging each job seeker Sh1,000. Imagine 200,000 job seekers applying for the jobs. That's a cool Ksh 200million. Someone is trying to correct their books," Controversial blogger Robert Alai posted on his Facebook page.

Alai even went further to reveal that Royal Media Services is broke and the recruitment of sales agents is just a grand scheme to redeem their overstretched budget.

"A few weeks ago, Citizen TV couldn't afford to pay for the gym and health facilities for the SlimPossible contestants. Rumors have also been out that water was disconnected from Royal Media offices," said Alai.
