Elders cancel a Ruracio (dowry) negotiation ceremony when they discovered a tattoo on brides thigh

KENYA: Elders cancelled a ruracio-dowry negotiation ceremony after they noticed that the bride had a tattoo on her thigh.

The lady whose name was withheld was brought out to meet her in-laws when they noticed something odd on her thighs.

According to social media reports, the lady, appeared at the sitting dressed in a tiny dress that barely covered her legs.

But the legs and the short dress were not her undoing. Seated there as she was introduced to her future in-laws, something else became evident.

Her would-be in-laws noticed that the girl had tattoos on her left thigh.

Immediately, the the sitting buzzed in disapproval. The elders were livid. How could they pay bride price for a woman who had obviously desecrated her body?

The in-laws unanimously agreed that the tatoos on her thigh were a deal breaker. They left after saying that they would look for another girl for their son to marry.
