Nakuru-based Policeman Rapes Pregnant Woman and Inserts The Condom He was Using In Her Mouth.

KENYA: A police officer based in Nakuru was arrested on Tuesday afternoon March 29, 2016 for allegedly assaulting and raping a six-month pregnant woman.

The victim reported that police constable John Waweru attacked her on Monday night at about 10pm as she was heading home from work.

The woman, who is six months pregnant, said she ran away from the officer but he caught up with her and raped her.

She claimed that he bit her lips and pinned her down, then tried to rape her, before he forced the condom he was wearing into her mouth.

According to The Star, The woman said that a passerby who responded to her cry for help saved her, as the police constable fled when the rescuer arrived.

She added that she knew the cop and that he worked at Keringet police station, but they had never spoken to each other.

The victim now says her life could be in danger, especially after she declined a KSh 100,000 offer by some of the officer’s colleagues to settle matter without involving the media.

According to Kuresoi OCPD Paul Rono, the suspect John Waweru has a questionable record and was facing disciplinary action for earlier violations.
