Former President Mwai Kibaki admitted to the Karen Hospital

KENYA: Sunday morning August 21 Kenya woke up to the news that Former President Mwai Kibaki got admitted at the Karen Hospital after complaining of ill health.

The former president fell ill at his Muthaiga home and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Kibaki is 84 years old and served Kenya from 2002 to 2013 when his two terms came to an end.

Those said to have visited him at the hospital include HE. President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The news comes three months after Kibaki lost his wife, Mama Lucy Kibaki, while undergoing treatment at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London, England.
