MORE TWIST: Prisca Chemutai Bett Recalls How She was tricked and Impregnated by DP Ruto

KENYA: "I was a student at Moi University in 2005 when i was introduced to the then Eldoret North MP William Ruto by a mutual friend."

"Ruto made several attempts to pursue a romantic relationship with Me, and due to my gullibility as a young and naıve student, i acquiesced to the advances."

Shortly after she agreed to the romantic affair, Ms Bett conceived and on 6th March 2006, she gave birth to a baby girl which she named Cheropruto – inspired by the father’s name.

The plaintiff has told the court that while as Ruto had promised to take care of their child, he stopped supporting the two shortly after becoming the Deputy President.

Ms Bett claimed that after threatening to move to court, she received Sh35,000 through M-Pesa but the payments stopped – forcing her to move to court.

The woman now wants the court to compel the Deputy President to provide support for her child including a monthly allowance of Sh30,000 for food, Sh80,000 for housing, 35,000 for toiletries, among others.

She has also asked for security and a decent car to transport her child to and from school.
