A source who sought anonymity revealed that Danson Mbundi, aged 19, was having a drink with his friend at Kimwa club before a fight erupted leading to his death.

The source claimed that Danson Bundi and a friend of his got into a fight outside the club after arguing over borrowed money.

The two quarreling students might have been misheard by a taxi driver who accidentally raised an alarm after dropping his car keys.

Dan Bundi and his colleague tried to escape but the deceased had no luck.

A mob descended on the now deceased Chuka University without mercy, took valuables from him and then left him for dead.
